Community devotion and expansion
Richard Enoch Stone established the first Stone Funeral Home located in Cocoa, Fl. in 1923. In later years, Magnolia Street was changed to Stone Street in honor of Richard E. Stone. Stone funeral home was especially integrated into the community and was regarded as a main contributor to the overall growth of Brevard County. In 1937, Stone moved the location of his business to its present location at 516 King Street. Although many renovations have occurred, this has been home to the Stone Funeral Home for close to a century now. To make servicing the community more convenient, a second location in Melbourne, FL was also opened. This means that there are now two different locations at 2400 Stone Street Melbourne, FL and 516 King Street Cocoa, FL to provide you with funeral home services.
